With the proliferation of backcountry and alpine touring skiing over the past decade, it's nice to see that the kids aren't left behind. While the chairlift is no doubt an easier and faster way to get to the top of the mountain, there's a number of factors that make that not possible for each and every kid and family. Not to mention, the ability for families to spend more time together outside in the winter wilderness is nothing to scoff at, either. The Contour Startup Touring Adapter is an ingenious product that allows your kid to click into his or her skis using their boots in a touring application. When skins are added (certainly necessary), their alpine setup doubles as their touring setup and they're good to go on any and all backcountry adventures. Thanks to Contour's use of lighter weight plastic and an easy to use setup, the Touring Adapter allows you to simply click the adapter into your bindings and your boot to the adapter. At that point, you're free-heel touring and heading up to the top of the mountain of your choice to rip down in likely what is going to be a run of epic proportions. Light, quick, and easy to use, the Contour Startup Touring Adapter is your key to untracked powder with your kids, with likely only a modicum of complaining. It's still hard going uphill, after all, but these adapters at least make it way simpler than ever before. If it comes down to buying a whole new touring setup for your kid or getting an easy adapter, we think this is an excellent choice.

*Returned skis that have been mounted are subject to a 20-25% restocking fee. If you are unsure about keeping the skis or your boot size we recommend shipping the skis & bindings unmounted.
Where to Find Your Boot Sole Length (BSL)
The boot sole length is not your foot size or boot size; it is a millimeter measurement of the boot shell. Ski boot manufacturers emboss this measurement into the plastic shell at the heel or under the arch. The number will fall between 255-365mm for an adult ski boot. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size (
eg.
a mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm). Please include the “mm” unit to indicate that the number given is the BSL and not the mondo size. Without this precise manufacturer's measurement, we cannot mount your skis.
If we are given incorrect mounting info, the buyer will be responsible for any remounting or restocking fees.
Binding Check:
Buyer is responsible
for taking Ski + Binding to a certified ski shop before use to make final adjustments and do a safety release check.  We do NOT set DIN levels.
Product Availability
Our eBay store shares much of its inventory with our family-owned retail store in Stowe, VT and sometimes our inventory is not accurate due to purchases made locally. If you purchase something that is sold out, we will try our best to find you a suitable replacement item. Any payment for an item that is not available will be refunded immediately. Keep in mind that weekend purchases are not finalized until Monday due to our eBay Department schedule.
